Re: The Bridges Center, Norcross, GA

To whom it may concern:

I am writing to report severe ethical violations that impede the delivery of services by the Bridges Center, 5950 Live Oak Pkwy, Suite 130, Norcross, GA 30093. Currently The Bridges Center (TBC) is accredited by CARF and that accreditation needs to be revoked.

I was employed by TBC July of 2011. After 6 weeks of work billing Medicaid for my services, I was never paid. When I inquire into the status I am threatened by the owner, Elana Winfrey, with innuendos of litigation. She has a history of hiring people and not paying them. Documentation is attached. All this results in lack of services to the clients referred to The Bridges Center.

When I began work and received my caseload, 100% of my clients complained they had not been seen since their assessment which may have been six months ago or I was the third counselor in as many weeks. I did my best to repair the therapeutic relationship only to use up my savings in gas and expenses.

The Welligent system was even down for a period of time due to non-payment of bills.

Currently clients are still being referred by the schools yet they have no clinicians to see them. They have hired new clinicians while not paying those previously hired. They are currently under investigation by the Georgia State Attorney General’s Office Medicaid Fraud Unit.

I am asking CARF to review their accreditation of TBC and revoke it so families are not promised something that will never be delivered and that potential employees won’t spend their savings providing services without reimbursement.

I am available for an interview or if you desire more information please call me on my cell, xxx-xxx-xxxx, or email me at padreallenp@aol.com.

Sincerely,

Allen Peyton
